Frozen biospheres, mine fields and teleports
MESSAGE #2 - Mar 8, 2004

Warsaw is sun-drenched. Everyone is waiting for the spring. Enough of this snow!! There won't be much of it in the game, but there will be some.

A lot of biospheres were damaged after the catastrophe - when Maximus XV fell into Black Nebula's hands. Devices responsible for maintaining the right temperature stopped working and freeze set in. Everything covered with white frost isn't conducive to life of people, who have already been decimated by hordes of beasts anyway. It doesn't matter to the alien creatures though. They are immediately adapting the living conditions for themselves. Biomechanical monsters don't pay attention to low temperatures and keep on making the hero's life difficult.

The mine field is an excellent barrier against unwelcome visitors. Several types of mine fields were created in our studio. Starting from classic - well visible, ending on covertly surprising and shocking by their sight. Space Hack will have a lot to do to survive.

Recently, we have also improved the teleport system. There are two types of this device in our game - the small and the large teleports. The first ones enable direct transportation. They connect individual levels: industrial level with residential one, residential level with basement, etc. The large teleports give us more freedom. We can choose the biosphere and the level to which we want to move. With their help it is possible to visit each remote part of Maximus.

So much for today.
